Ways to Give

Whether you choose to give to scholarships, support the White Coat Program, make a bequest, or give a class gift as part of your reunion, or make a gift through a family foundation, HUMAA appreciates your commitment to the education of our extraordinary students and our mission of supporting the Howard University College of Medicine.

Make an Impact:

  • Cash Gifts
The simplest and easiest gift you can make—can be made by credit card, personal check, cashier's check or money order made payable to HUMAA.

  • Recurring Giving (1871 Club)
Sustain your impact through regular and consistent contributions to HUMAA. You can set up your credit card or bank account to be charged a certain amount at a frequency of your choosing.

  • Gift Planning
Support HUMAA’s mission for generations while meeting your current financial needs.

  • Scholarships
Endowed scholarships are invested by HUMAA to generate income in perpetuity, providing you an opportunity to make a lasting impact. Endowed gifts can be established with a minimum contribution of $40,000.

  • Stocks & Securities
Provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to HUMAA before they are sold.

Recognize a Special Time or Person:

  • Reunion Gifts
Gifts made during your reunion year. Special awards are presented to classes with the most reunion gift contributions (dollars raised and number of classmates contributing).

  • Memorial Gifts
Made in honor of a family member, classmate, professor or other member of the HUMAA community.

We can only succeed with your philanthropic support.

As is common with higher education institutions and other non-profit organizations across the United States, HUMAA applies a one-time assessment to all gifts. The amount of the assessment is determined by the HUMAA Executive Board. The current HUMAA assessment is 3%.
